Art Byte Critique Artist Books

The Art Byte Critique Group is a Tokyo-based collective of contemporary artists created in 2012 as a response to a desire to have regular constructive dialogues about studio work with other artists.  These conversations have led to the discovery of new ideas and inspirations for each Art Byte Critique artist’s studio practice.

Art Byte Critique participated in the Tokyo Art Book Fair for the first time in 2014.  We met many wonderful people and enjoyed sharing our works with all those who came to the fair.  We also met several artists who now participate in Art Byte Critique events.

We are applying to participate in Tokyo Art Book Fair 2015.  We hope to have the opportunity to share our works again.  We will know if we are selected to participate by the end of July 2015.

For 2015, Art Byte Critique is planning to present six artists – Karin Gunnarsson, Arthur Huang, Lyle Nisenholz, Lori Ono, Tanya Tanaka, and Marc Tibbs.  The six artists work in a diverse range of mediums including drawing, painting, collage, photography, animation, and printmaking.

Below, you can find samples of each artist’s work and a link to her and his website.
